Watching the Singapore Slingers

3 of the NYPS basketball boys managed to watch the Singapore Slingers in action this afternoon at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

It was a match against Chang Thailand Slammers. Jeffers from the Slingers got the ball from the jumpstart and shortly after scored the first 2 point of the match. The match started slowly with the first quarter ending 10-8 with Slingers leading.

The 1st half ended 35-23 with Slingers winning. The Thai Slammers had a strong comeback for the 3rd quarter. The 3rd quarter nearly ended with 40-37 but fortunately at the last 10 seconds Wei Long from the Slingers scored a 3 pointer and ended the 3rd quarter 43-37.

Finally the match ended 56-50, Slingers won! It was a match with many swift movements, good steals and inceptions. The boys and parents watching the match enjoyed themselves thoroughly. It will be a match the boys will remember for a while.

"It was an exciting match especially when all the players used those tricks and could keep cool-headed, even nearing the end of every quarter. I have learnt to cut off my opponents' imaginary line so that they cannot score. - Kang Zhe"
